My intuition of writing this is to raise my voice against LabAid Cardiac Hospital and provide a real picture about LabAid, so that the LabAid hospital changes their attitude and provide a good services and treatment to the patients. Please read the attached news paper article which was published on The Daily Janakantha on 19 Dec, 2007. Also, please see the actual condition of my father while he was under treatment at LabAid Cardiac Hospital:
The person that you are watching on this video is not in this world anymore! He died on 11 Nov, 2007 at LabAid Cardiac Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh while treating under Prof.(Dr.) Baren Chakrabarti, Prof. (Dr.) M. Matiur Rahman (who is actually not a professor, but using this fancy title) and Prof. (Dr.) Ali Hossain (the best doctors in our country with some fancy fake title.!!!).
We trusted the fancy ads of LabAid, also trusted the fancy titled doctors and nurses. But look at the real picture of LabAid’s CCU Bed No. 8. After the surgery they left my father on the bed without any proper attention. The LabAid doctors are so busy to catch another new CCU patient, which they forget about stitching the surgery area of the current patient. Look at the blood all over the bed! Look at.. how clean LabAid’s CCU unit is!
I raised my voice when I saw the real picture of LabAid. For raising my voice I got slapped on my face in front of the all the people by the LabAid G.M. Mr. Imran Chowdhury.
I am sure LabAid doctors who were involve with my father’s treatment has got a good amount of share from the bill, but can they really tell that the hospital/or even the doctor’s has done a proper treatment for that helpless guy Mr. A. K. M. Fazlul Haq (my father)? He was just lying on the CCU Bed No. 8 helplessly for 15 days and expecting his sons, also the doctors will take care of him properly. We have done our part from the bottom of our heart; we were ready to spend all of our savings and everything to get a proper treatment for our father, because he is our father who took care of us properly. But, Mr. or Ms. LabAid Administrators. Have you guys taken care of my father properly? I am sure you did not, because I am the one who is one of your victims. How come a person who didn’t even have any heart surgery or any type of major surgery, but got a bill for almost five and half Lac taka (BD Tk. 5,50, 000.00, AU$8,155.00, US$7,288.00)?
Dr. Lutfor Rahman (Head of Cardiac Surgeon) I am pointing you because you are the golden son of our country. Do you guys still wanna claim that the Heart Surgery is cheaper in Bangladesh now? On 11 Nov, 2007 when we went to see with you regarding my father’s bill that time you mentioned about your contribution in Bangladesh. You were also talking about you can make 1 Lac take in a matter of second. Well, done Dr. Lutfor Rahman! Well done! We’re really proud of your contribution (?) to our country’s medical history! Here is one of your biggest contributions to our country’s medical history, which was published on the Daily Janakantha on 19 Dec, 2007 “LabAid has become a human killing machine.”
Life is very interesting Dr. Lutfor Rahman! When we lost our love ones then we feel for it, but then we forget about it. Instead of forgetting about my father’s death, I want to raise my voice against LabAid Cardiac Hospital and request all of you to “STOP GOING TO THE LabAID for any heart treatment” and wanna make those doctors to understand that they should not play with any humans life, because no matter how powerful or rich they could be, they will never be able to give a life back to a dead man’s life! So, STOP massing around with a human life, OKAI Dr. Lutfor Rahman, Prof (Dr.) Baren Chakraborty, also the others who are involve in this human killing business!
The LabAid hospital needs to know a little bit about the power of Internet in disseminating information. I will request to all of you also do the same (when forwarding the article, send CC or copies to the lab-aid related addresses, so that the LabAid individuals feel a little shame about their Hospital’s work activity every time they receive a copy of this email.

Recently I have read many LabAid related medicle debarkles during my shrot stay in Bangladesh. This is very pathetic that our country’s private medicle hospitals are so corrupted and full of garbage. I already have forwarded this link to all of my friends as well. Hope this will bring about changes in LabAid’s operating procedures and treatment of the patinet.
Good luck with your awarness campaign and thank you for sharing the info with us. Otherwise I wouldn’t have any idea about LabAid!

In our country all hospitals are in this situation.
All our doctors are not for human they are for money. Every doctor is driving luxurious cars in our country by our money. Friends I am sharing my experience with you about my father.
My father is a cardiac patient. He did his Open Heart by Pass Surgery from the CMH. He got three blockages in his heart. Dr. Mallik was the chief of the cardiac department of CMH. He did my father’s by pass surgery with a German doctors team. But on that time we didn’t know that Dr. Mallik is not a surgeon for by pass surgery and the German doctors team was the trainee doctor came here for practice.
Later on my father faced chest pain again and he was admitted on the National Institute of Cardio Vascular Disease. Dr. Sufia was the head of the cardiac department. She did my father Angiogram and saw that only two blockages are by passed not all the three!!!. We had nothing to say, nothing to do. Dr. Sufia told us that my father need two stents for recover the blockages. We paid the hospital for the two stents and Dr. Sufia did his PTCA.
After 5 years my father faced chest pain and was admitted to the United Hospital Limited. Dr. Momennuzaman recommended for the angiogram. We did the angiogram and the report showing us that there is only stents in his heart.!!!!!! My father is now facing lots of problem for the wrong treatment from the beginning.
Just think about our situation. From the beginning we are getting the best treatment from our hospitals from our best doctors. Just think how our doctors are best how their treatment is best!!! How they are best to earn money from us.
I am here raising my voices against our doctors. How they are for us rather they are for our money.
I am requesting all; please grow your son or daughter as a human friend doctor for all not as doctor for money.

i know your pain.last year january i also have lost my father,fazlul hoque khan, in lab aid hospital.there i saw the true picture of ICU.they gave least attention to patients treatment.they are busy with catching patients.we all should come forward against those money making machines.we could not make protest at the time of my fathers death but now your e-mail gave me courage to raise voice against them.i have forwarded this e-mail to all of my friends.

Hey man!
I could really feel for you there. My dad went from UK to BD and he fell seriously ill and like your self we also trusted LabAid. They were unable to treat him, changed all this medication around and increased his asthma. This made him more ill, thankfully we brought him back to UK all in good time. I suppose we got lucky unlike your self. I will make sure none of my family members ever step a foot in that Hospital.
These doctors think they are GOD where they can take life, bring it back and it’s become a game to them coz they can earn money either way. Whether the pateint lives or dies is no matter to them coz they will get what they’re after and thats MONEY!

I couldn’t believe what I was watching in u’r video or u’r e-mail.I am so shocked,frustrated and worried after going through all of your comments.What will happen to our families then? When they will need treatment? My Abbu is also a Cardiac patient of Lab Aid Cardiac hospital. He has lots of accumulated problems including developing Renal faliure. He has done Angiogram, PTCA [2 times which included 3 Stents(! well i doubt now)]and also waiting for another surgery there!My Abbu has been to almost every renown(!) hospitals in Bangladesh like NICVD,National Heart Foundation, APOLLO,UNITED and now LAB AID. Well he has been treated at Lab Aid for several times.When I had been to Bangladesh to observe my Abbu’s Medical procedures I was so impressed with the behaviour of his Cardiologist. Above all surely i amn’t a Medical person so i couldn’t understand there could be lots of IFS and BUTS. Now we have to think twice about Lab Aid and Thank you All for bringing up these mischievous stories. I feel my deep sympathy for those who had lost their most LOVED ones. May allah give u peace and strength.

*)Bangladesh Government should take every necessery steps to stop this immediately.
*)All the TV channels should stop LAB AID tv commercial asap.
*)All the real doctor should raise their voice against these fake busterd (Doctors). Sorry for the word. Cause peoples also loosing their faith on good doctors.
*)We should curse on fake doctors so that they become sick and admit to LAB AID (Killing hospital) and be treated as same way as they killed lots of innocent people.
*)Reporter of print media should investigate and get some information then they can publish those news to daily news paper.

i really feel very sad when i read this. Govt should take necessary step. i am pity for our helpless bangladeshi. i also have worse experience about labaid.
its happend at 2005. that time i just got married one month. suddenly my husband got jaundice. my flat 5 mins walking distance from labaid. so i prefer to go there for checking. the following day they gave me the report with hepatitis B positive. after getting this report i lost my honeymoon and my husband looks half dead. my friends and relatives suggest me to test at CMH and popular hospital. after that i did it and both place i got negative result. in the mean time i already spend a big amount only for diagnosis a simple disease. just i want to say how many people in our country is able to test min 3 places to confirm the diseases???

I HAVE THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY FOR YOUR FATHER.MAY ALLAH BLESS HIM WITH JANNAH.WE ARE SURE ALL HIS GUNAH HAD BEEN WASHED AWAY BY THE PAIN HE HAS GONE THROUGH THE TIME HE PASSED IN LABAID.INFACT I KNOW YOUR BROTHER PARVEZ AND I HAD REGULAR TOUCH WITH HIM OVER THE PHONE WHILE YOUR FATHER WAS IN LABAID.AT THAT TIME ALSO I HAD SUGGESTED TO PARVEZ NOT TO TRUST THESE LABAID DOCTORS AND TAKE A SECOND OPINION OF DIFFERENT DOCTORS OUTSIDE OF THIS HOSPITAL.
AS I KNEW THAT THESE LABAID DOCTORS ARE ALL RUBBISH AND THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR BILL AND THEY KNOW HOW TO INCREASE THEIR BILLS BY CREATING FALSE SITUATIONS.THE COMMON PRACTICE IS THAT THEY GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT THE PATIENT HAS 20%-30%CHANCE OF SURVIVAL AS SOON AS THEY TAKE THE PATIENT TO THE ICU.WHEN THE RELATIVES HEAR THIS THEY DON’T HESITATE TO GIVE THE SIGNATURE ON ANY TYPE OF DOCUMENTS WHICH THEY ASK TO SIGN BY THE RELATIVES.AFTER THEY GET THE SIGNATURE THEY IMMEDIATELY START SOME OF THEIR PROCEDURES WHICH MAKE THE PATIENT LOOK MORE SERIOUS.THIS INCLUDE THEIR DEPLOYMENT OF THE VENTILATOR WHICH IS THEIR MAJOR SOURCE OF INCOME.THEY CHARGE AROUND TK40,000-60,000 EVERYDAY FOR THIS MACHINE.AS FAR AS I KNOW THIS VENTILATOR IS GIVEN TO THE PATIENTS AS THE LAST ATTEMPT TO GAIN THE BREATH OF THE PATIENT.
I MYSELF HAD GONE THROUGH THIS TYPE OF TRAUMA IN LAST NOVEMBER 2004 IN LABAID AND THANKS TO ALLAH THAT I GOT MYSELF OUT OF THEIR CONTROL BY MY RELATIVES INSISTENCE THAT THEY WILL TAKE ME TO SINGAPORE AFTER SPENT 10DAYS AT THEIR HOSPITAL.IF I NARRATE MY STORY OVER THERE IT WILL BE TOO LONG WHICH I HOPE TO NARRATE AT SOME LATER TIME.BUT WE ALL PRAY THAT MAY ALLAH NEVER GET ANYONE IN LABAID FOR ANY SMALL PROBLEM WHICH THE DOCTORS OVER THERE MAKE IT SERIOUS.

Either LAB-AID has been quiet observation by Govt.related authority nor,their might be a rules for all pathology laboratory where patients can get perfect report about their health condition.
I was suffering Hep-C Genotype 3
After six month of my Interferon therapy my pathology test for HCV RNA (QUANTITATIVE)was followed:

HCV Quantitive: Less than detectable limits from a prominent pathology lab located India
My Physician advised to make another PCR Test from LAB-AID report followed:
On 01/09/2009 lab aid reported:
HCV RBA: POSITIVE
HCV RNA IN IU/ml:4.7×10(7)
HCV RNA COPIES :1.9X10(9)
It was shocking, unbelievable,not expectable.
After that we decide to send the blood sample to singapore & india again which was too much expensive too.
