My intuition of writing this is to raise my voice against LabAidCardiacHospital and provide a real picture about LabAid, so that the LabAid hospital changes their attitude and provide a good services and treatment to the patients. Please read the attached news paper article which was published on The Daily Janakantha on 19 Dec, 2007. Also, please see the actual condition of my father while he was under treatment at LabAidCardiacHospital:
[I'm removing this video, because when I watch this video I can't control myself.]
The person that you are watching on this video is not in this world anymore! He died on 11 Nov, 2007 at LabAid Cardiac Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh while treating under Prof.(Dr.) Baren Chakrabarti, Prof. (Dr.) M. Matiur Rahman (who is actually not a professor, but using this fancy title) and Prof. (Dr.) Ali Hossain (the best doctors in our country with some fancy fake title.!!!).
We trusted the fancy ads of LabAid, also trusted the fancy titled doctors and nurses. But look at the real picture of LabAid’s CCU Bed No. 8. After the surgery they left my father on the bed without any proper attention. The LabAid doctors are so busy to catch another new CCU patient, which they forget about stitching the surgery area of the current patient. Look at the blood all over the bed! Look at.. how clean LabAid’s CCU unit is!
I raised my voice when I saw the real picture of LabAid. For raising my voice I got slapped on my face in front of the all the people by the LabAid G.M. Mr. Imran Chowdhury.
I am sure LabAid doctors who were involve with my father’s treatment has got a good amount of share from the bill, but can they really tell that the hospital/or even the doctor’s has done a proper treatment for that helpless guy Mr. A. K. M. Fazlul Haq (my father)? He was just lying on the CCU Bed No. 8 helplessly for 15 days and expecting his sons, also the doctors will take care of him properly. We have done our part from the bottom of our heart; we were ready to spend all of our savings and everything to get a proper treatment for our father, because he is our father who took care of us properly. But, Mr. or Ms. LabAid Administrators. Have you guys taken care of my father properly? I am sure you did not, because I am the one who is one of your victims. How come a person who didn’t even have any heart surgery or any type of major surgery, but got a bill for almost five and half Lac taka (BD Tk. 5,50, 000.00, AU$8,155.00, US$7,288.00)?
Dr. Lutfor Rahman (Head of Cardiac Surgeon) I am pointing you because you are the golden son of our country. Do you guys still wanna claim that the Heart Surgery is cheaper in Bangladesh now? On 11 Nov, 2007 when we went to see with you regarding my father’s bill that time you mentioned about your contribution in Bangladesh. You were also talking about you can make 1 Lac take in a matter of second. Well, done Dr. Lutfor Rahman! Well done! We’re really proud of your contribution (?) to our country’s medical history! Here is one of your biggest contributions to our country’s medical history, which was published on the Daily Janakantha on 19 Dec, 2007 “LabAid has become a human killing machine.”
Life is very interesting Dr. Lutfor Rahman! When we lost our love ones then we feel for it, but then we forget about it. Instead of forgetting about my father’s death, I want to raise my voice against LabAid Cardiac Hospital and request all of you to “STOP GOING TO THE LabAID for any heart treatment” and wanna make those doctors to understand that they should not play with any humans life, because no matter how powerful or rich they could be, they will never be able to give a life back to a dead man’s life! So, STOP f..ing around with a human life, OKAI Dr. Lutfor Rahman, Prof (Dr.) Baren Chakraborty, also the others who are involve in this human killing business!
The LabAid hospital needs to know a little bit about the power of Internet in disseminating information. I will request to all of you also do the same (when forwarding the article, send CC or copies to the lab-aid related addresses, so that the LabAid individuals feel a little shame about their Hospital’s work activity every time they receive a copy of this email.
Here are the email addresses of the LabAid individuals with their full name:Prof. (Dr.) Baren Chakraborty – baren_chakraborty@yahoo.com

Recently I have read many LabAid related medicle debarkles during my shrot stay in Bangladesh. This is very pathetic that our country’s private medicle hospitals are so corrupted and full of garbage. I already have forwarded this link to all of my friends as well. Hope this will bring about changes in LabAid’s operating procedures and treatment of the patinet.
Good luck with your awarness campaign and thank you for sharing the info with us. Otherwise I wouldn’t have any idea about LabAid!

Dear Mr. Masum:
I am really sorry to hear this. Yes. You are right. At this time I can share some of my experience regarding LABAID.
I had a problem in my body 6 or 7 years back, and I went to LABAID to discuss with one doctor. Unfortunately, the doctor (I forgot the name) prescribed one kind of antibiotic which was very costly then. I asked the doctor about my diseases and wanted to know the reason to give me the very powerful antibiotic. His answer was… “this medicine is very safe and even pregnant woman can take this” But , after taking the medicine I was frequently vomiting and got faint. For the GOD’s sake I did not meet death that time . So. I totally agree with Mr. Masum .

Dear Masum,
We would like to express our deep sorrow for the tragic as well as commercial (!) (as behaved by hospital management & doctors) death of your beloved father.
WE HATE THESE PEOPLE WHO GOT INVOLVED IN TRADE CONSIDERING HUMANITIES AS COMMODITIES!!!
As a victim of heart disease I got vast experience in India and few other countries. But I never heard such a complain where admitted patient has been ignored by doctors or hospital management which is common practice in our country! Ya, we have the real and sensational development of advertisement in the sector of medical service. It’s ofcourse dimensional revolution while attendance also entertaining by them with slap nowadays!!!
Best of luck.

Mr. Masum,
I am sorry to hear the pathetic news about your father. But I have the
same feelings about LabAid.
May Allah bless you.

From my childhood my parents want to make me a doctor so that I can serve my nation…..but as I wanted to be a engineer..I was strict in my goal and have done it…….I know my parents have a small pain in their heart that their son did not understand them….and I was a little bit repentant for that….but now from today after reading Mr. Masum’s mail I am proud that I am not a doctor….
My personal opinion is don’t go to LABAID………Boycott LABAID….the money earning corporation…..who wants to invest more in TV AD than to using antiseptic….they have the worst doctors I think…but the doctors who know how to earn money rather how to serve a patient…………..
I had also a bitter experience with LABAID while I took my father to LABAID….now it’s time to raise a hand against LABAID….
There is not a single Masum….I think there are thousands of victims who were used (I can use this term here only) by LABAID but never tell anything….
It’s time to tell the untold

Dear Mr. Masum
You don’t know me but I was also in the same condition like you. I have lost my mother in O/T at the time of by pass in last April. Even doctor didn’t infrom she died. When I asked the doctor what is the condition of my mother they informed she is okey. After 2 days of opeation we have been informed she died. This is the real situation in treatment in Bangladesh. I am living in UK. My all family are now totally destroyed in Bangladesh because of this incident.
If you want to take any further steps I am with you.
Take care

January 19, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Dear Masum,
I am really sorry what you have experienced in LabAid.
Few days back, one of my sisters admitted in LabAid as some fluid accumulated in the lungs. She was herself a doctor and owner of a clinic. Before treatment she went through hundreds of tests including the HIV test. These also include some tests carried out from the same lab in few days back. The actual Doctor met her on 4th day and by that time a huge bill accumulated including the cabin charge. She was released with some medicine only. I was a silent witness.
I also know that LabAid carried out so called heart operation on a patient who was dead before he was taken in to operation table. Obviously the relatives had to pay all the bills.
We are conducting cleaning drive in the country. Politicians, mastans, illegal hoarders,etc..But we could touch them.
I apologies. Masum as we failed.

I like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tasbirul Islam. I read your mail with great interest. My sincere condolence to you and your family. May allah rest him in peace. I want to share my bad experience with LAD-AID in May last year. My father had a stroke and stayed in LAD-AID for 6 days. I was billed for 98,000 taka. As I am a physician, I found this figure very outrageous. As their CT scanner was out of order, they send my father to modern clinic for CAT angio of brain and charged me 17,000 taka though modern clinic billed 7,000 taka to LAB-AID. They also did lot of unnecessary test including HIV test. They couldn’t provide skilled physiotherapy which my father need most. Even there is no chair with handle where my father can sit. I had to bring chair from home. They didn’t clean my father untill I arrive 3 days later and got somebody to do so with extra money. Nursing care was absolutely joke. Attending doctor spend hardly 5 min in each visit without talking to my father or family and charged 500 per visit. We remian in dark during his stay in hospital. No updates or communication from the medical staff. I want to add more of my agonizing and horrific experience with LAB-AID. Dr. Shariar, consultant in Neuro-surgery under who was ??treating my father using the title of MD (USA). Later I found that he never underwent residency training in neurosurgery but did observership at downtown hospital in NY for ??1 year ( Actually he confessed to me when I asked about his degree & training in US). Observer is not allowed to touch the patient. Forget about the surgery. He also use another title fellow( downtown hospital, NY). Such degree doesn’t exist in USA. They can’t play this game with our beloved ones.
I will support any movement you want to made against LAB-AID. We shouldn’t let it go that way.

Dear Mr. Masum,
Thank you very much for raising your voice about the funny treatment facilities of Bangladeshi doctors. I think not only in Labaid, but also in each and every clinic or Hospital we can have the same pictures.. no change at all…. and also no shame among the doctors.

Dear Masum
I am really sorry for your Experience in LABAID .
It is an opportunity for every one who had same experience to raise the voice against Lab-Aid. We must stop this nonsense.
I would like to have the attention of our CHIEF ADVISER of Bangladesh Please don’t allow such irresponsible Clinic/Hospital to give us so called service!!!
Their License should be canceled. We believe this government can only take a real call against Lab-Aid like they have done lot of other appreciated activity against Crime. We want another instance from the government by restricting Lab-Aid’s Death Activity/Business, which will ensure our desired service from the other Clinic.

dear all…
what you witnessed here is nothing new or unusual in bangladesh. i mean, this happens in all the hospitals. the article says when the person protested, he got slapped in the face by someone.
for hospitals like lab aid, these are things that are very normal. they’ll take the last penny from your pocket . because they are here to do business. not to give you any kind of service.
the biggest names in the medical sector of bangladesh are united hospital and appolo hospital. although i have not come across any new about united hospital, there are hundreds and hundreds of complains against appolo.

Dear Mr. Masum,
Really sorry to know your heartache and pain. You will have only one father in your life , just one , I feel that how it would be if you loose him.
As the judiciary is independant now. Pls go with the legal actions against Lab aid. You can SUE this people in Bangladesh. Also , you can sue the guy who slapped you.
Be strong and kick the basterds.

Hello Masum,
I feel sorry for you but i am not surprized of LabAid’s act becoz i hav also gone thru same kind of situation as you did…the difference is tht…i was nearly goin to loose my father…but thank Allah, He was kind enough to us…
jus imagine…after paying huge amnt of money, we are not gettin proper treatment then..jus think abt the poor people…we are really helpless !
Any ways, I really appreciate ur initiative against this kind of brutal act and the best thing we can do is to raise our voice up and make people aware of the real scenario.
Thanks

I am really sorry to know that your father is no more today. But we have to do something for rest of the people in our country. Thanks for taking initiative. Allah may bless you.
January 22, 2008 at 4:43 am
Dear Mr. Masum,
I feel sorrow for your father and may Allah keeps his departed soul in peace.
Thanks a lot to raise the voice among all the evils. I personally know a doctor,Mr. Matiur Rahman, who is supposed to do election for MP from Ghatail Thana, under Tangail District. Earlier no body knew him,but now most of the Ghatalians know him because of his election campaign. This is another bloody evilness of him. He was introduced with the people when he needs help from them but not that time when people were needed help from him. Look, how this type of person can be helpful for us. As a Ghatalians,I am denying him from me,from my family and I will tell this story to all the villagers when I will go back to my village. Sure, they will listen me.
About the service !!?? of hospital…better to say about the service of our doctors…did they ever read the definition of service? They read how to earn money, they know how to keep fake title before and after name…they know how to earn money. About their services, they might be trained up from the drunker of Japan, because a drunker of Japan shows much much better attitude than them. Here worthless to describe about the service of Japanese Doctors and Hospitals.
One more thing… Dear all the doctors…dont forget…you have to die…and ONE IS LOOKING YOU ALSO…

At 4th january 2008, me went to LABAID with my mom to check her diabetis ECG and a X-ray of chest. they take 1st just blood for diabetis.then they suggest us to go for ECG to the ECG room at second floor. me and my mom go there but they told us that ECG is currently serve at emergency.then we two came to the emergency, there the told us that they need extra for ECG in emergency. and the suggest us to go 2nd floor, after telling reply from 2 nd floor they agreed to ECG at emergency but they lose the prescription and the bill copy of my MOM. me call the helpline of LABAID (Mr. Manish-01713092683) they arrange an duplicate copy of bill and told me that he ‘ll try to arrange the prescription.then we came to give the 2nd blood for diabetis. there my mom check that have to give urine sample for diabetis. she told to the counter for the urine sample, then they told us that it is necessary and arrange to take urine sample.me again contact to mr manish and told him about the total situation of their service an worried about the prescription. he just said methat he tried but if fail he dont know anything.and finally they cant manage it becouse they dont inform the report delivery section properly. Finally my situation is, me spend money and my only week off day to them and get a careless service to make all my work meaningless..they dont even ring me and even appologies.
this is all about my experiance with LABAID. I would like to say against them hardly. PLZ help me to do something against this unhumanity.

Because of all these kinds of malpratice I have quited this profession, though I got a MBBS degree. It’s really painful to see helpless patients are still suffering in a so called super-specialized hopitals.

I would like to share one of my personal experience with Lab Aid BD.
I was to test my blood group from Lab Aid on January’06 being prescribed by HSE_GP { as a corporate client }.Their findings were O+ though my blood group is B+ [ tested from DNS on January,05 & from BUET medical center on June,2003 !

Mr, I was really shocked to learn that such works have been done (and still on) inside a famous hospital, LabAid. I am sorry to hear that your father was one of their victims and he lost his life only for carelessness!
I can understand how you do feel now.
But I would like to request you and all other readers to keep going ahead. People should know how bad man could be for the money!
Keep raising everybody’s voice until anybody takes action against the hospital.

Dear Mr. Masum,
I am very sorry to learn about the accident caused by the golden (!!!) child of our country. In fact, I was also about to fall into the trap of LabAid Hospital by one of the doctor (Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam) for medication of my father. I really don’t know why government is not taking any action against these butchers & freaks.
It’s our duty to stand against these creeps. Let’s spread the news to every Bangladeshi at every corner of the world.
With the very best from a compassionate mate.

Dear Mr. Masum,
What a shame!!!
I am very much sorry to know the news. I can feel ur pain.
This is a normanl picture in our country for treatment. For this reason we are going to abroad for treatement. If the hospitals, Clinics of Bangladesh give us proper treatment, proper care then why should we go abroad????? I have a lots of experiance with verious Hospitals. In 1998 my Grandfather was admitted in Holy family. They didn’t diagnosis any disease and didn’t give us any treatment, just passed 13 days and submitted a bill around 30 thousand taka. Nibedita Nurshing Home for Children- all the parents of this world r so much Conscious about their baby. I went there 3 times for my daughter. The truth is that I didn’t get any kind of treatment or any Diagnosis. The doctors came to visit only for few seconds. They should talk to the patient and also their parents. In this time this is true that they are very much busy not to serve care they r busy to collect new patient. THIS IS VERY MUCH TRUE for most of the doctors in Bangladesh.
Take care

I went Labaid for the ultra sonogram of my wife. She was pregnant for 7 months at that time & It was a routine check. When I receive the report of the same I found the result of the test showing my wife is 4 months pregnant. Isn’t it funny? They have just edited another patients report & I found few error were also there.
My question is what’s the authentication of the report that I received from so called renowned hospital?
I came to know the test done by Labaids Md’s Wife. I was present there & the behave pattern of the dr. & others was not up to the standard.

After seeing all the comments I found that , there is no response at all from our doctors brothers & sisters . Why ? Only just because all are same mentality ?

Not all the doctors are same. There are also some good doctors. I have received many emails from the doctors as well. They also want to stop this human killing business in Bangladesh!
Here is one of the e-mail that I have received from a Dr. who is currently living in Canada:
hello,
I got forwarded email from one group about your lab aid experience.
I’m really sorry for your loss and pray for your late father for peace in the Haven.
I’m a doctor and living in Canada now. But I do believe what happened in your life that should judge properly.
here my opinion is that in Bangladesh now private clinic and hospital are doing business not serving people, patient or family. They don’t have any morality, by having report in news paper or getting email from other people that wont change their care, attitude or behavior, because they are able to run their business in same way. They need punishment- physical, mental and financial. They need to send jail and pay you back 100 time of your bill.
Please go to Court, I know its not easy specially this time but for your beloved father and for good of others , at least try to give them one lesson and give example to other clinic. People have right to get proper care, if they dont get proper care they can go to court, now people are aware of their Rights. Private hospital should stop it, its peoples lives not only a profitable business of famous people.
We love your homeland Bangladesh but those famous people are making bad reportation about our beloved matherland and we should try to prevent that as much as we can.
May Allah bless us.
Best of luck

Dear Prof. Nazrul Islam and Prof. Siddik:
I am replying to you both, because both of you used the same computer to post the messages on this BLOG. Prof. Siddik (psiddik@yahoo.com) used IP address 202.22.206.176 and sent me the message at Feb 3, 1:42AM. Prof. Nazrul Islam (pnazrul@yahoo.com) sent me the message using IP address 202.22.206.176 and sent me the message at Feb 4, 7:27AM.
How come both of you sent me the messages using the same computer? How come both of you has got the same type/pattern of e-mail address? Do you think we computer people are that stupid like you?
Dear viewers, my assumpiton is someone sent those messages using those two doctors name. If not, then Pof. Siddik or Prof. Islam, speak up please! Provide your contact number to me, so that I can confirm and keep those comments in this site and remove this letter.
Anyway, if you are a real Prof. then I like to thank you for your valuable comment! You have mentioned about Dr. Motior Rahman being a pioneer in his field. You also mentioned you know Dr. Motior Rahman in personally. Do you know that this pioneer doctor cheated with thousand of patients by using a fake title? Do you think it’s fair to use a fake title being a pioneer doctor of Bangladesh? What’s your opinion about that?
Filing a case to the court or writing to BMDC will not make those people to stop their dirty work. I am a pioneer witness of those doctors dirty work. The video footage shows clearly how they kept my father in a CCU.
I know in Bangladesh we will not get any proper justice and there is no way I will be able to run a case being outside of Bangladesh, hence I created this website to aware others! Now, it’s up to the people to judge and decide what they want to do about LabAid.
Finally, if I file a case against LabAid and win the case, how many people will know about it? This website is providing a real picture of LabAid cardiac hospital. When I open my email Inbox everyday, I know how helpful this website has become so far to spread my father’s treatment at LabAid, but you don’t know that!
BTW, why are you defending a fake Prof. by saying, “I personally know these people. Dr. Motior Rahman is a pioneer in his field. All other doctors are also dedicated, committed and expert in their fields?” Does this mean, you don’t bother if a doctor cheats with the innocent patients using a fake title?

I think this is a single example of alarming situation of our medical facility (Diagnostic Center, Clinic, private practitioner etc). But it is a good initiative to raise voice against such brutal and inhuman activities. May Allah bless all of us from such misery.

I am horrified to read the story from Mr.Tanvir having gone through so much suffering at Lab Aid. It was shocking to know how they treated the newly born baby!!!!!
Is there any organization monitoring these hospitals and make them accountable for their misdeeds ?
February 9, 2008 at 7:04 am
A few years back, my new born baby brother died due to the extreme negligence of one of the renowned gynecologists of bangladesh; Dr. Sumayya Begum. It happened at Bangladesh Medical Hospital. And of course she still practices.
I think a Monitoring organization needs to be established where they will look into such criminal cases of doctors, and monitor the performance of theses doctors. So that appropriate actions will be taken and in future such incidents will be averted.
Medical hospitals and clinics are mushrooming in Dhaka, and if such measures are not taken immediately, I am afraid we might see many more such incidences.
February 11, 2008 at 5:31 am
It has shown us the rude and cruel part of the medical history. They made the medical bussiness instead of medical service. I am confused how to protect them.

The above real story (although it’s not story at all!) is very pathetic and tragic. Those bastards should be killed. Here’s another fact that happent to one of my close relative.
My nana (maternal grandpa) was around 50 years old. He was ok all the day, but at around 12:00 AM he felt a little pain in his chest. The sypmtoms tell that it could be a stroke. However, he told his family members to take him to the nearest Lab Aid Hospital…
I don’t wanna make this story too long; what the doctors did was…….they gave him 25 diuretics (this drug is used to lower high blood pressure, although his pressure was not that much high) at a time. And with their such qualified treatment, he died before the next morning…
Now it’s our responsibility to destroy this Human Killing Factory so that no one is affected anymore..

Mr. Masum:
Very unfortunate indeed.
People of Bangladesh should raise ugainst the Govt. of Bangladesh and hold them accountable to allow these in-experinece, fake Doctors, money greedy, and immoral individual to open such a Lab. I have reads lots of other comments, article and discussion about the current Bangladesh Health-Care Services on the news lately and they are very sad indeed….. average citizens should be more aware, educated and concious of Health-Care in regards to those providers who cliams and prophess to be the best. Unless if there are no strict enforcements of Medical Malpractice Laws or Compensation of the victims done by the Govt. this Health-Care problem will never go away more over it will escalate.
It is the every Citizen of Bangladesh’s responsibility and duty to act upon it….not is the time before it is too late.

LabAid authority must change their attitude and must stop playing with the human lives.
